Tokyo Raiders apartment

It's been sooooo long!! ^^; Gosh, I'm so sorry... This drawing took me longer than I expected!  I think I sketched it sometime late last year and took almost the whole year (It's already August!  ) to get it coloured...  Been busy with work and other online things. Hope you guys have been well!

Tokyo Raiders is a Hong Kong film waaayyy back in 2000... When I saw it back in the day, I fell in love with the minimalist apartment which is located in Tokyo. At that time, raw concrete was all the rage with the likes of Tadao Ando architecture trending everywhere. You can check out the fight scene here

I tried my best to map out the layout plan of the circular apartment, it seems like Tony Leung (the main lead) was fighting in the study area first before back tracking to the kitchen area and finally making his escape via the staircase. :D It would have been better to see more of the interior but yeah, hope you will enjoy this! I made a mistake with the position of the blue sofa, it should be facing the metal racks... ^^; One more thing was that they had those open wardrobe/ storage with metal bars, also another trend which made its debut then.

Mad Dog Apartment design

:D

Another K-drama interior design!  Absolutely love the designs seen in these dramas, they always seem to amaze me. :wow: This is a dark themed interior seen in the recent Korean drama series, Mad Dog. The open shelves for bookcase storage also has a hidden door, something which was my ex-lady boss's favourite design!  I especially love the entrance/ foyer area with the tiling, it makes it as feature point as you enter the apartment.

I wouldn't mind living here! But maybe it's a tad a bit too dark tho... :hmm: Oh, did I mention that it has a secret room behind that bookcase door?! ;p

Goldline Office

Hello! It's been awhile... Hope you are doing well. :D Have been lazy  and depressed for most the time lately... :depressed: I blame the weather for this... :raincloud: Hahah!! :XD: Okay, jokes aside... This is a set design seen in a K-drama entitled, "Shopping King Louis"...

The whole office is really spacious, with an artificial tree as the centre point. The workstation layout works around the tree in a free flow form... It looks really impressive and stylish but it takes up a lot of space! :O I doubt that any office will be able to incorporate this kind of layout for just a few employees... :hmm:

I do love the steps leading up to Mr. Cha's office there. The other half is designed to be like a amphitheatre style, as seen in the drama... Mr. Cha was addressing the team while sitting on the steps there. The steps are made with some double height and some single height, but it combines with the normal steps on the left... a very clever idea indeed.

Since I've started watching K-dramas, I am really fascinated by their set designs... They really do have great ideas and executions... :wow: Wish I was that creative! Sigh...Oh well...back to the drawing board...

Akuma Caca Cafe

:)

It's been awhile. Have been feeling more depressed :depressed: than usual. :raincloud: Anyways this have been in my to-draw list for a some time now. ^^; Akuma Caca Cafe as seen in the Taiwanese drama Thirty Something. The divider is made out of small mini logs, which is quite eye-catching. :wow: It may look a little bit creepy if you stare at it long enough though...  I saw the same design in a Korean restaurant as well while watching Seoul Refined, but that was used as a feature wall. The grass carpet is actually on the other side of the divider but I thought it might look better if I drew that in here. :D

That's it for now. Hope everyone is doing well.

Big 2012 Korean drama

Big 2012 Korean drama

Ahnyeong haseyo! It's been awhile. Big 2012 was my very first K-drama that I watched.
I saw it many years ago (one episode) and last year I've finally gotten around to watching it fully... It was really nice! Thus began my K-drama madness....

This is Kang Kyung Joon's bedroom with his beloved car bed. The episode I watched back then showed him saving this bed from being dumped.  So I felt it was rather significant to jot it down here. The whole house is actually quite nice as well. It has the modern minimalist cube segments. But of course now it maybe a bit dated since it's almost 5 years now.

Hope everyone is doing well!

My Wife's having an affair this week office pantry

My current obsession with K-dramas has led me from one drama to another. :teevee: The recently concluded "My Wife's having an affair this week" was a pretty good show.  I enjoyed the story as well as the interior. This is the office pantry of Producer Do Hyun Woo, Producer Ahn and Writer Kwon. The concrete blocks caught my eye and then I realised it was cleverly used as a support for the bookshelves as well as a decorative piece. There is even some back-lighting for some of the blocks.

On the opposite side, the concrete blocks were used as a divider and a bar area as well. Retro furniture pieces were used to match the concrete and wood. Although I must note that the space is rather small, so it may look like there is a lot of things going on.... maybe a little bit crowded for some. But I think it looks pretty nice overall. I really like the concrete blocks and wood combo. :D
