Mad Dog Apartment design

:D

Another K-drama interior design!  Absolutely love the designs seen in these dramas, they always seem to amaze me. :wow: This is a dark themed interior seen in the recent Korean drama series, Mad Dog. The open shelves for bookcase storage also has a hidden door, something which was my ex-lady boss's favourite design!  I especially love the entrance/ foyer area with the tiling, it makes it as feature point as you enter the apartment.

I wouldn't mind living here! But maybe it's a tad a bit too dark tho... :hmm: Oh, did I mention that it has a secret room behind that bookcase door?! ;p

Midnight Foodstore Episode 27- 29 review

[Episodes 27- 29] Ageless love

Featured food: Preserved canned fruits

Back to the Chinese Midnight diner series... :D I'm so sorry, this drama is so long and I was dragging myself all the way. By far, this is the worst story and I have been procrastinating doing the review!

Okay, this tale is as old as time... An old man with a woman half his age. I know... *rolls eyes* The usual excuse is that he actually found love... Oh come on! The woman? Well, you'll
inherit millions overnight, that's the best thing that anyone can ever dream of...

Mo Hua, a famous architect finds himself walking along a different path one night... He passes by a self-launderette and sees this beautiful young woman. He stops and stares at her (Damn pervert!) She doesn't realise that as she was only admiring herself in the mirror.. Duhhh... the mirror is a two-way mirror...

She finishes her laundry session and throws the drawing away and Mo Hua picks it up to admire it...

Since that day, the pervert started to stalk her... like literally. I'm not kidding! WTF... He follows her to her house and work place, finds out that she is a dancer at the night club and her name is Ming Ming.

Anyways it was not long that he got to sleep with her... Ugh.... yeah... I guess the dancers do "extra service"...

Ming Ming doesn't know anything about him until the diner customers told her that he was the famous architect... One day he invites her to the annual architecture awards and while at the ceremony, he declined the award and ran away with Ming Ming because everyone there knew about her background...

I guess it's thrilling for the old man, that he feels young again doing reckless things... smh... Oh yeah, they sleep together again... duhhh... dayum lucky old bastard gets to kiss that pretty young thing...

So, old man brings young thing to the beach side one day... declares he will build a love home for both of them... *yawns* meanwhile Ming Ming is still debating whether she actually "loves" him or his money... He says it doesn't matter... (of course right, pretty young thing to play with every night who cares if she loves me) Mwahaha, not sorry just really disgusted with this old man. He goes jogging one morning, powww he collapses and dies... Oh wowww, maybe too much action every night...

You guessed right, Ming Ming became a multi millionaire overnight.... Oh yeaaahhh enjoy money which you didn't work for... oh wait, maybe just for a couple of nights having to f* that old man...

But yeah, the story isn't as heartless as my review... Ming Ming visits the old man's house one day to settle the property, finds the drawing she threw out at the launderette and breaks down in tears. She actually did love that old man... Well, if you had someone who shower you with love and money I think you might fall in love too...

Ming Ming suddenly transforms into a learned person and organises a memorial ceremony celebrating the old man's work. She begins a new life with his money and that's the end.

I almost gave up watching this series due to this story... I really didn't like how they portrayed architects... I mean if you're that guy, seriously you have no time to go around being a fckin stalker pervert dammit... You'd be so damn busy at your studio eating, sleeping and shitting deadlines there...

Recently, an online friend asked me to consider marrying an old man... He said it will solve all my money problems. I had forgotten about this story until now... At that time I replied him saying that there is nothing better than to spend the money which you have earned yourself. He said it's only a myth that all women want to believe that they can earn their own living... I didn't know how to answer him after that. But now with this review, he does have a point but I will still stand by my answer... :P

Anyways, the featured food were canned fruits which Ming Ming kept at the midnight diner... The diner boss will check the expiry dates and open them to make a mixture fruit salad in a glass bottle. I'm done here. I need time to recover from this disgusting story review... Haha!

Temperature of love review

Drama name: Temperature of Love
Country: South Korea
Year: Sept- Nov 2017

The only reason to watch this show is Kim Jae Wook!! Hahah!! Actually, Yang Se Jong is really cute too... ;D

So, what's this drama about?

This story is based on a novel entitled, "Good soup never answers"... I actually didn't realise that until like almost end of the drama! ^_^V Sorry! It is about a struggling script writer named Lee Hyun Soo, who has yet to debut. Apparently in South Korea, to be a script writer is almost similar to a K-pop artist, you'll need to debut... Hmm...

Hyun Soo works under an established script writer and basically her life kinda sucks because she has no control over the script, she has to listen to the script writer and the script keeps on changing while the drama is being aired and filmed at the same time.

One night, she meets up with some friends for a midnight run... She meets a young guy named On Jung Sun. While on the midnight run, she falls behind and gets lost. Jung Sun went to look for her and sparks fly almost immediately... Haha! They are attracted to each other and sort of starting dating.

Alas, their relationship didn't last long as Jung Sun is an aspiring chef. He wanted to train under a famous chef in France and the chance came soon enough... Jung Sun thought of having a long distance relationship with Hyun Soo but she declined and said that her career came first.

Fast forward five years on, they meet again as fate will destine them to... :D The rest of the story goes on with both of them trying to deal with their on-and-off relationship...

Overall thoughts

I didn't know what to expect from this drama. It was a really slow moving one... I was basically dragging my feet to watch it every week! However, the script is well written... The struggles of pain and emotions in a relationship was realistic and relatable. Just like the drama title, temperature of love...the relationship is sometimes hot and sometimes cold. Both the female and male lead was really good and their on-screen chemistry was lit!!

Best parts of the drama

Besides the romance, there is bromance as well. :D On Jung Sun and CEO Park has one of the best relationships and it is stretched to the limits when they both like the same woman...

More bromance between Chef On and his bff, Won Joon...

Chef On's team at his restaurant, Good Soup reminds me of the gang from Pasta!

The interiors in this drama is really neat... Chef On's apartment (both past and present) and Good Soup...

CEO Park's apartment, office and family home is awesome as well...

This drama has a lot of fine dining food, it doesn't look like it will fill your stomach but the proposal cake for CEO Park was really pretty nonetheless ...

Notable scenes

There are a lot of kisses in this drama ^_^... I know those hopeless romantics would definitely enjoy this story...

You will definitely get the second lead syndrome here...He looks so sexy there!! Dayum, CEO Park... please come to me instead! XD

Conclusion

It's a no brainer here, Hyun Soo does end up with Jung Sun in the end.. Actually, they never fell out of love in the first place! I just pity CEO Park that he was waiting in the wings all those years for nothing... Aigoo... Heart break!!

The drama was just meh for me, I have no idea why they dragged it out into 20 episodes (actually 40 with the new half hour episodes) But apparently it is the top drama in South Korea... I guess the people there really do love romance so much... (-_-")

Okay, I'm done here. Will leave you with CEO Park and hopefully he will get the girl in the next drama! Dammit script writers make it happen already... poor guy's heart is broken so many times... XD

Mad Dog Korean drama review

Drama name: Mad Dog
Country: South Korea
Year: Oct- Nov 2017

I stumbled across this show while channel surfing one morning... It was already at Episode 4 and it caught my eye immediately because it looked interesting. Back tracked online to check out the full story...

So, what's this drama about?

Choi Kang Woo is a claims examiner working with Taeyang Insurance. His job is to investigate insurance claims to make sure they are not fraud cases in order to safe guard Taeyang from paying out unnecessary funds. One day, a plane crash kills his wife and son. Kang Woo was so devastated and vowed to uncover the truth behind the crash. He resigns from Taeyang Insurance and starts his own investigation agency named Mad Dog.

Meanwhile, the brother of the co-pilot who supposedly suicide crashed the plane is also on the quest to clear his brother's name. Jan Gebauer or Kim Min Joon makes an unexpected entry into Mad Dog and uses them to help him. However, it was not easy as Kang Woo sees him as the murderer's brother who killed his whole family.

With the unlikely duo combination, they set out to investigate the plane crash. They begin to uncover layers upon layers of corporate corruption, money laundering and abuse of power that ultimately puts their lives in danger.

Overall thoughts

The story starts off quite complicated with the plot seemingly all over the place, but it is because the cases actually overlap one another. As the show progresses it gets better and better.

Best parts of the drama?

Mad Dog team, consisting of Kang Woo, Jang Ha Ri, Cheetah and Pentium (Noo Ri) Their chemistry is awesome. I really enjoyed all their missions and interaction...

The many teasing moments between Kim Min Joon and Jang Ha Ri... There isn't any romance but it was just enough to keep your imagination running wild! ;D

Kim Min Joon's hot body... This one's for the ladies! ;D Sexy back triggered...

No romance but there is bromance! The relationship between Kang Woo and Kim Min Joon develops from one of doubt to a trusting one....

My favourite troublemaker duo, Cheetah and Pentium! :D They are seriously so cute together... and yes, Noo Ri is pretty cute too! XD

I do like Kim Min Joon's dark interior apartment... It even has a secret bookcase entrance! I shall let you watch the show to find out... ;D

Notable scenes

I guess the highlight of many commenters was this tease scene between Kim Min Joon and Jang Ha Ri... Everyone was expecting a kiss but oops... trolled! ;D

Fashion

Now, the bad guy of this show really stole the show... Literally. XD The comments section was full of OCD moments with his neck tie style.... Hahah!! Apparently, it is the European style neck tie... I don't know! Maybe someone can enlighten us on it...

But seriously, I actually fell for this guy! He's soooo smart and bad at the same time it's so smexy.... XD Help me...

Conclusion

After numerous attacks and counter attacks (Too many I lost count!) between Mad Dog team and the bad guys and within the bad guys themselves... Kang Woo and Kim Min Joon managed to outwit the ultimate baddie, the Vice-president of Juhan air and Director Cha Hong Joo. They were all sent to jail and the truth behind the plane crash was finally revealed...

The plane was too old to fly but it was still allowed and Taeyang Insurance covered up the fact. Kim Min Joon's brother was cleared of the suicide crash and Kang Woo was sentenced to one year's prison for illegal wiretapping.

It is a happy ending with ten months on, Kang Woo is released from the prison and jumps right back into action with his Mad Dog team. Kim Min Joon finally calls him hyung (older brother in Korean) Aww, so sweet!

I really enjoyed this drama, it had enough action and suspense... a lot of thinking involved and a tease of romance. Although it may not be on many to-watch list I would definitely recommend this drama. I'll leave you with the badass Juhan air Vice-president a.k.a. ugly neck tie guy! Hahahh!! XD
