Temperature of love review

Drama name: Temperature of Love
Country: South Korea
Year: Sept- Nov 2017

The only reason to watch this show is Kim Jae Wook!! Hahah!! Actually, Yang Se Jong is really cute too... ;D

So, what's this drama about?

This story is based on a novel entitled, "Good soup never answers"... I actually didn't realise that until like almost end of the drama! ^_^V Sorry! It is about a struggling script writer named Lee Hyun Soo, who has yet to debut. Apparently in South Korea, to be a script writer is almost similar to a K-pop artist, you'll need to debut... Hmm...

Hyun Soo works under an established script writer and basically her life kinda sucks because she has no control over the script, she has to listen to the script writer and the script keeps on changing while the drama is being aired and filmed at the same time.

One night, she meets up with some friends for a midnight run... She meets a young guy named On Jung Sun. While on the midnight run, she falls behind and gets lost. Jung Sun went to look for her and sparks fly almost immediately... Haha! They are attracted to each other and sort of starting dating.

Alas, their relationship didn't last long as Jung Sun is an aspiring chef. He wanted to train under a famous chef in France and the chance came soon enough... Jung Sun thought of having a long distance relationship with Hyun Soo but she declined and said that her career came first.

Fast forward five years on, they meet again as fate will destine them to... :D The rest of the story goes on with both of them trying to deal with their on-and-off relationship...

Overall thoughts

I didn't know what to expect from this drama. It was a really slow moving one... I was basically dragging my feet to watch it every week! However, the script is well written... The struggles of pain and emotions in a relationship was realistic and relatable. Just like the drama title, temperature of love...the relationship is sometimes hot and sometimes cold. Both the female and male lead was really good and their on-screen chemistry was lit!!

Best parts of the drama

Besides the romance, there is bromance as well. :D On Jung Sun and CEO Park has one of the best relationships and it is stretched to the limits when they both like the same woman...

More bromance between Chef On and his bff, Won Joon...

Chef On's team at his restaurant, Good Soup reminds me of the gang from Pasta!

The interiors in this drama is really neat... Chef On's apartment (both past and present) and Good Soup...

CEO Park's apartment, office and family home is awesome as well...

This drama has a lot of fine dining food, it doesn't look like it will fill your stomach but the proposal cake for CEO Park was really pretty nonetheless ...

Notable scenes

There are a lot of kisses in this drama ^_^... I know those hopeless romantics would definitely enjoy this story...

You will definitely get the second lead syndrome here...He looks so sexy there!! Dayum, CEO Park... please come to me instead! XD

Conclusion

It's a no brainer here, Hyun Soo does end up with Jung Sun in the end.. Actually, they never fell out of love in the first place! I just pity CEO Park that he was waiting in the wings all those years for nothing... Aigoo... Heart break!!

The drama was just meh for me, I have no idea why they dragged it out into 20 episodes (actually 40 with the new half hour episodes) But apparently it is the top drama in South Korea... I guess the people there really do love romance so much... (-_-")

Okay, I'm done here. Will leave you with CEO Park and hopefully he will get the girl in the next drama! Dammit script writers make it happen already... poor guy's heart is broken so many times... XD

  1. Hahahah...:)..poor CEO Park. What kind of world is that, where no girl want to date CEO Park. He shud have met someone else and have the love at "first sight moment"
