Featured food: Spicy rice cake noodles (nicknamed Sad Noodles)
Just when you thought this drama couldn't get any worse...it did. (-_-") This is probably the worst story by far... It is about a stewardess who is pretty and looking for love at all the wrong places.
Xiao Quan would always fall in and out of love, her relationships never last for long and she suffers break-ups very often. Whenever she has a break-up, she would head to the diner and order a plate of sad noodles. Her break-up ritual would start by eating the super spicy noodles, drink alcohol and cry at the same time. Finally, she would start to party as she has drunk too much by then...
The diner boss is already familiar with her and calls a designated driver to send her home. It's pretty cool that China also has these kind of chauffeurs like South Korea... They will drive you either in their car or in your own car safely home.
Gao Song arrives and sends Xiao Quan home. As she is pretty, he is attracted to her but remains a gentleman. He gets to know her more when they bump into each other again at the diner.
Xiao Quan gets drunk again and this time Gao Song sends her all the way back into her apartment. She gives him some clothes... Possibly those she bought for her boyfriend but as she got dumped again so it's no use for her... Gao Song was so happy and treasures the shirt.
By now, Xiao Quan has warmed up to Gao Song. He is her designated driver for most of the time and he even does more than that. He protects her from a potential dangerous date and she is so happy to have him around. Gao Song has fallen in love with her but did not have the guts to confess his feelings. Poor guy, he feels so inferior as he is not attractive physically... :(
With the encouragement from the other diner customers, Gao Song decides to confess his feelings to Xiao Quan. But alas, it was too late... She appears with a French guy who is her fiance. She was going to get married and move to France. Apparently she met him less than a month but decided to get married... What?! I know... Poor Gao Song!
Gao Song was so heartbroken... He ends up at the diner ordering the sad noodles. Aww! :'( They bring in a younger driver... not sure why! But he is quite cute.. Haha! It was ironic for Gao Song because usually he is the one sending drunk people home but now he is the drunk customer instead.
Gao Song gives the packed sad noodles to the young driver. The young driver rushes home in order to catch a video call with his girlfriend overseas. It was a short one and he was left all alone in his apartment. He starts to eat the sad noodles... Begun to cry because of the spiciness and drink at the same time! Haha, those sad noodles seem to be passing the sadness around! Btw, he has a nice apartment with lots of Adidas shoes!
It was almost time for Xiao Quan to leave for France. She heads one last time to the diner to look for Gao Song. He had been avoiding her ever since... I like this part when the three female diners reprimanded her. It is true that she knew Gao Song had a crush on her but she just pretended and used him. She justified herself by saying that she never led him on and why can't male and female just be friends... Spoken like a true b*! I was so mad... you feel like slapping her!
Xiao Quan was finally leaving that night. She waited in anticipation for Gao Song to send her to the airport. However, Gao Song did not come but he sent the young driver instead. Yeah! Way to go Gao Song... I am glad that he did not appear. She was disappointed and looks back one last time at his car before leaving.
The story ends with Gao Song eating the sad noodles and crying his heart out. Omo... I feel for him... He knew he was not Xiao Quan's league but he tried his best to diet in order to fit in the shirt she gave to him... Maybe he was dreaming but his good heart can beat any handsome exterior hands down. I was disappointed but yet this is reality... Such females like Xiao Quan do exist. They are pretty and attractive, they know men would be interested in them so they manipulate and use them for their own ends.
That's about it for this story. Not sure if you would want to try those sad noodles! :D I would prefer happy noodles or something! Plus it is super spicy... not my taste!
